Tulisa's Britains Got Talent Outfit...

Well what can I really say other than Whaaaa daaaa fuuuuuuckkk!
Now.. I like tulisa, I like her music and think she did well to overcome the whole "sextape" incident and get her single to number 1 but really? this dress! what was her stylist thinking, it looked like someone had just stuck tassels randomly to the bottom of a bodycon dress, to be fair I think my little sister could have made a better dress than that, I don't think she pulled it off one bit..
Then the on stage costume change just made everything worse, I didn't have a problem with the outfit itselt..I just didn't think it suited tulisa, the shorts made her legs look twice the size they'd normally look, not good!
So Yeah next time tulisa wear something better and maybe have words with your stylist...

Animal prints...

Animal print, or leopard print, is a clothing and fashion style in which the garment is made to resemble the pattern of the skin and fur of an animal such as a Leopard, Cheetah, Zebra, Tiger, Spotted Hyena, Striped Hyena, African Wild Dog or Giraffe. Animal print is also used for handbags and footwear and even some jewellery. A major difference between animal prints and fur clothing is that animal prints today very often use fake fur instead of animal coat.

Animal prints have long been a popular style for many reasons. For one, they are generally expensive and considered rather exotic; hence they are a symbol of wealth and status. Throughout history, kings and other high people have used animal print rugs and such as a sign of status just as mounted animals are kept as trophies. Animal print became popular for women in the United States in the late 1960s during the Bohemian movement.

  • The 1940′s saw the emergence of animal print during the early stages of the women’s movement.
  • The 1950′s fashion designer Christian Dior’s muse Mitzah Bricard was fascinated by leopard print. Dior followed his heart and infused his accessories, lines, and campaigns with leopard.
  • The 1960′s saw a whole new revolution spawned by the Hippie Movement as a new place for exotic animal pelt patterns, which were emulated on printed patterns for popular women’s apparel in different new rebellious colours.
  • The dangerous side of animal print appeared in the 1970′s. The Punk Rock movement brought about leopard print accents and torn cheetah print stockings. Rebellious music paired with the wild equals chic, sexy and dangerous. The 70′s also brought about nightgowns infused with animal prints, teddies, undies, etc. Leopard print jumpsuits, bell bottoms, even zebra print platform shoes.
  • Now in the 21st century the animal print is still going strong with people wearing leopard print leggings an coats

music videos...

lately music videos have had some very bold fashion statements in them and have had a big impact on the way fashion is influenced,

from Jessie Js crazy prints to Rihannas boyish style fashion, they've both had an impact in some way.
alot more teenagers take notice of what their favorite singers are wearing in there music videos for help with there fashion  nowadays, in the 21 century, than they have in the past.

Scenario 4...

for my forth scenario i have to dress a 40 year old women, size 14 with an apple shaped body, going to a summer ball.

Jeffrey & Paula Ditsy Print Frill Dress from fashionworld.co.uk £50
Moda in Pelle Kendal Ladies Shoes from fashionworld.co.uk £199.95

I have picked this dress because the v neck gives emphasis on the bust and the wasteline adds curves to the waste, the shoes I have picked go well with the dress and a will make the womens legs look longer.

Scenario 3...

My third scenario is a 16 year old girl ,  size 10, rectangle shaped body who is going to prom,

lipsy V I P Rouched Bust Dye Prom Dress from Lipsy.co.uk £120
Steve Madden Extreme Platform Shoes from Newlook £84.99

I have chosen this outfit because this dresss gives the effect of curves on the rectanglular shaped body makes her hips look bigger than normal, also the heels bring out the sparkle detailing in the dress and makes her legs look longer.

Scenario 2...

My second scenario is a 65 year old woman, size 12, pear figure, who needs a mother of bride outfit.

Teatro Knot Detail Side Frill Dress from Very.com £39
Teatro Wilson Peep Toe Court Shoes from Very.com £30

I have chose this dress for my scenario 2 because the wrap around matterial really flatters the pear shaped figure and the shoes will acompany this dress well also they wont hurt the womans feet as the heels arent too tall.

Scenario 1...

My first scenario is a 20 year old woman, size 16, hourglass figure, going to a job interview in banking...

High Waisted Wide Leg Trousers form Next £28
Georgette Pussybow Blouse from ASOS £28
Patent Twist Strap court from New look £24.99

I have chosen this outfit for my first scenario because the high waisted trousers show off the hourglass figure well, by outlining the curves of the hips.
The heels with the wide legged trousers will elongate the legs and make her look taller and slimmer.
The pussybow blouse adds a pop of colour to a sophisticated look
